Entries are saved in this browser only (local storage). Clearing site data or switching browser removes them.

Runs in your browser: nothing you enter is sent anywhere.

How to use it

  1. Today is selected by default. Type up to three things you are grateful for; they save as you type.
  2. Click another day in the calendar to read or edit it. Days with writing are shaded.
  3. Use the arrows to browse months, and Today to jump back.
  4. Export CSV saves every entry with its date.

What the numbers mean

  • Days written: days with at least one line.
  • Things noted: the total number of non-empty lines.
  • Day streak: consecutive days written, counted back from today (or from yesterday if today is still empty).

Ideas for a good entry

  • Prefer specifics (“the neighbour held the door”) to generalities (“my neighbours”).
  • Small and ordinary things count: a warm drink, a message from a friend.
  • Each line holds up to 200 characters.

Notes

The journal is plain text stored in your browser. Do not use it for passwords or sensitive secrets, since anyone with access to this browser profile can open the page.

Frequently asked questions

Where are my entries stored?

Only in your browser's local storage on this device. Nothing is uploaded, so another browser or device starts an empty journal. Export CSV to keep a copy.

Do I have to fill in all three lines?

No. A day counts as written when at least one line has text. Empty lines are simply left blank.

How is the streak counted?

It counts consecutive days with at least one line, ending today. If you have not written today yet, yesterday's streak is kept until the day ends.

Can I write for a past day?

Yes. Click any day in the calendar to read or edit its three lines.

Is gratitude journaling a treatment?

It is a reflection habit, not a medical or psychological treatment. If you are struggling with your mood, talk to a doctor or a mental health professional.
