Mouse sensitivity converter
Pick the game you play now, enter your sensitivity and mouse DPI, and choose the game you want to move to. You get the equivalent sensitivity, your cm/360 and inches per 360 turn, and eDPI. If your game is not on the list, choose Custom and enter its yaw.
Runs in your browser: nothing you enter is sent anywhere.
How to use it
- Choose the game you play now, then enter your sensitivity and mouse DPI.
- Choose the new game and its DPI. For a game not on the list, choose Custom and enter its yaw.
- Read the new sensitivity and the cm/360 turn distance.
- Degrees per inch = sensitivity × yaw × DPI.
- Inches per 360 = 360 ÷ degrees per inch. Centimetres per 360 = inches × 2.54.
- New sensitivity = (old sensitivity × old yaw × old DPI) ÷ (new yaw × new DPI).
- eDPI = sensitivity × DPI.
Worked example
Source engine sensitivity 1 at 800 DPI: 1 × 0.022 × 800 = 17.6 degrees per inch, so 360 ÷ 17.6 = 20.45 inches = 51.95 cm per turn. In Valorant at the same DPI the same turn needs 0.022 ÷ 0.07 = 0.3143 sensitivity. In Overwatch it is 0.022 ÷ 0.0066 = 3.333.
Tips
- Matching cm/360 across games is a starting point; players often adjust slightly by feel.
- The yaw values listed are the common defaults; if a game has changed or you use a modified setting, use Custom.
Frequently asked questions
What is cm/360?
It is how far you move the mouse, in centimetres, to turn the view a full 360 degrees. It is the same in every game when the sensitivity is matched, which makes it the fairest way to compare. A larger number means lower sensitivity.
How is cm/360 calculated?
Degrees per inch of mouse travel equal sensitivity × yaw × DPI. Inches per 360 turn are 360 divided by that, and centimetres are inches × 2.54. With sensitivity 1, yaw 0.022 and 800 DPI, that is 360 ÷ 17.6 = 20.45 inches, or 51.95 cm.
What is eDPI?
Effective DPI is sensitivity multiplied by mouse DPI. It lets players with different DPI settings compare, but only within one game, because every game uses a different yaw.
What is yaw?
Yaw is the angle the view turns for one count from the mouse at sensitivity 1. The list uses 0.022 for Source engine games such as Counter-Strike, 0.07 for Valorant and 0.0066 for Overwatch. For any other game, look up its yaw and use Custom.
Why is my converted sensitivity slightly off in game?
Games round the sensitivity they accept and some display fewer decimals. The converted value is exact for the yaw values used, so use as many decimals as the game allows. Field of view and aim down sights settings are separate and are not converted.
