Points per tap

Scores are saved in this browser only and are never uploaded.

Runs in your browser: nothing you enter is sent anywhere.

How to use it

  1. Choose how many teams are playing and edit their names.
  2. Pick how many points one tap is worth.
  3. Tap + to add and − to subtract.
  4. Press Reset scores to start a new game while keeping the names.

How it works

Each team is a name and a whole number. Every change is written to your browser’s local storage under the key tools.scoreboard at once and read back when the page opens. The team with the highest score is outlined; when all teams are level nobody is.

Example

A quiz night with three teams where each answer is worth 2 points: set the step to 2, tap + for the team that answers correctly, and tap − to take one back after a challenge.

Tips

  • Use it as a quick tally for rounds, sets or goals.
  • For a full table of rounds per player, use the card game score keeper.

Frequently asked questions

How many teams can I score?

From two to six. Changing the number keeps the existing teams and scores. Adding teams appends new ones at zero, and lowering the number removes teams from the end.

Are my scores saved?

Yes. Names, scores and the step are stored in your browser's local storage on this device, so a reload does not lose them. Nothing is uploaded, and another browser or device starts fresh.

Can I add more than one point at a time?

Yes. Choose a step of 1, 2, 3, 5 or 10 and every tap on plus or minus changes the score by that amount. Change the step at any time between taps.

Can a score go negative?

Yes, scores can go below zero. They stop at 99,999 in either direction.
