How to use it
- Choose units and enter the length, width and depth of the pour.
- Enter the mix ratio, e.g. 2 and 1 for 2:1, and pick volume or weight.
- Set the waste allowance and read the amounts of each part.
How it works
Volume = length × width × depth (1 cm³ = 1 ml; 1 in³ = 16.387 ml). Total = volume × (1 + extra). Each part = total × its share of the ratio. For weight ratios the total is multiplied by the density first.
Worked example
A mold of 20 × 10 cm and 5 mm deep holds 100 ml. With 10% extra, 110 ml; at 2:1 by volume that is 73.3 ml resin and 36.7 ml hardener.
Tips
- Measure carefully and stir for the time on the label, scraping the sides and bottom.
- Mix small batches for deep pours; thick layers can overheat. Follow the maximum layer thickness in your product’s data sheet.
