Card game score keeper

A score sheet for Rummy, Hearts, Spades, Canasta, Yahtzee-style games and any other game scored in rounds. Add players and rounds, type each round's points, and the totals add up by themselves. Choose whether the highest or the lowest total is winning.

Who is winning

The sheet is saved in this browser only and is never uploaded.

Runs in your browser: nothing you enter is sent anywhere.

How to use it

  1. Edit the player names in the table header and add or remove players.
  2. After each hand, type every player’s points in the new row and press Add round for the next hand.
  3. Read the totals at the bottom. The leader’s total is underlined and named under the table.
  4. Choose whether the highest or the lowest total wins.

How it works

The total for each player is the sum of their round scores, with empty cells counted as zero. The leader is the player with the highest total, or the lowest if you selected that. Nothing is highlighted until at least one score is entered. The sheet is saved to local storage after every change.

Example

Three players play Hearts, where the lowest score wins. After two hands the scores are 5 and 12 for Ann, 14 and 0 for Ben and 7 and 14 for Cy. Totals are 17, 14 and 21, so Ben leads.

Tips

  • Keep one sheet per game and press Clear scores between games.
  • For a single running total per team without rounds, use the scoreboard.

Frequently asked questions

How many players and rounds can I have?

From two to eight players and up to 60 rounds. Add a round after each hand, and remove the last one if you added it by mistake.

Can the lowest score win?

Yes. Switch Who is winning to Lowest total for games like Hearts, Golf or Rummy variants where points count against you. The player or players with the best total are highlighted.

Can I enter negative scores?

Yes. Type a minus sign before the number. Cells take whole numbers up to 99,999 in either direction, and an empty cell counts as zero.

Is my score sheet saved?

Yes. The names, rounds and winning rule are stored in your browser's local storage, so a reload does not lose them. Nothing is uploaded. Use Clear scores to start the next game.

What happens when two players tie?

Both are shown as leading. The sheet does not apply tie-break rules, because they differ between games.
