Plant watering schedule
Add each plant with how many days between waterings and when you last watered it. The schedule shows the next date, which plants are due today or overdue and lets you mark them watered. You can also download repeating reminders for your calendar app.
Runs in your browser: nothing you enter is sent anywhere.
How to use it
- Enter a plant’s name, how many days between waterings and when you last watered it, then press Add plant.
- Check which plants are due. After watering, press Watered today.
- Download the reminders to add them to your calendar.
How it works
Next watering = last watered + interval. Days left = next watering − today. Zero means today, negative means overdue.
Worked example
A fern watered on 1 November every 7 days is next due on 8 November. On 10 November the schedule shows it as 2 days overdue.
Tips
- Check the soil with a finger before watering: if it is still wet, wait.
- Most plants need water less often in winter.
- Use pots with drainage holes.
Frequently asked questions
How often should I water a houseplant?
It depends on the plant, pot, light and season, so there is no single answer. Check the plant's care label, and feel the soil before watering. Use the interval here as your own reminder and change it as you learn what the plant needs.
How is the next watering date worked out?
Next date = last watered + the interval in days. A plant is shown as due when that date is today or earlier, and overdue when it has passed.
How do the calendar reminders work?
The .ics file has one all-day event per plant that starts on its next date and repeats every N days. If you water at a different time, press Watered today and download a new file.
