How to use it
- Enter how many paragraphs, sentences or words you need and choose the unit.
- The text appears at once. Generate again makes a new random version.
- Press Copy and paste it into your layout.
Options
- Start with “Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet…”: the first sentence is the well-known opening, so anyone can see at a glance that the text is a placeholder. In word mode the first words are taken from it.
- Wrap paragraphs in <p> tags: each paragraph becomes
<p>…</p>, ready for an HTML page or a CMS editor in code view.
How it works
The generator takes words from the traditional passage, joins 6 to 14 of them into a sentence, starts it with a capital letter, sometimes adds a comma and ends with a full stop. A paragraph holds 4 to 7 sentences. In word mode you get exactly the number of words you asked for, as one sentence. Under the box you see how many words and characters the text has.
Tips
Match the placeholder to the real content: a product card needs one or two sentences, an article layout several long paragraphs. Placeholder text is no substitute for real copy when checking headings and buttons - their length depends on the actual words and on the language, and a translation can be noticeably longer than the original.
