Worked example
A US Queen is 60 × 80 in, which is 60 × 2.54 = 152.4 cm by 80 × 2.54 = 203.2 cm. The Australian Queen, 153 × 203 cm, is almost the same bed.
Tips
- Measure your bedroom and leave room to walk around the bed.
- Check the sheets: a UK double fitted sheet will not fit a US full without stretching.
- Add the mattress thickness for fitted sheets; deep mattresses need deep-pocket sheets.
