Convert to

Runs in your browser: nothing you enter is sent anywhere.

How to use it

  1. Choose or drop one or several images.
  2. Select the target format: PNG, JPG or WebP. For JPG and WebP you can set the quality.
  3. Download each converted file, or all of them.

Which format to choose

Format Best for Transparency
PNG screenshots, logos, sharp edges yes
JPG photos, widest support no (white background)
WebP small files on modern browsers yes

Notes

  • Each output keeps the original file name with the new extension.
  • PNG is lossless, so the quality slider is hidden for it.
  • Animated GIFs become a single still picture, because the converter draws only the first frame.

Frequently asked questions

Which formats can I convert between?

Any image your browser can open (usually PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF, BMP and often AVIF) can be saved as PNG, JPG or WebP.

What happens to transparency?

PNG and WebP keep it. JPG cannot store transparency, so transparent areas are filled with white.

Can I convert HEIC photos from an iPhone?

Only if your browser can decode HEIC itself, which is mostly Safari on Apple devices. If the browser cannot open the file, you will see an error message; there is no built-in HEIC decoder in this tool.

Will converting change the image size?

The pixel dimensions stay the same. File size changes: PNG is lossless and often larger for photos, JPG and WebP are smaller but lossy.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Conversion uses a canvas in your browser and each file is limited to 100 MB.
