Screenshot beautifier

Open a screenshot and place it on a gradient background with padding, rounded corners and a soft shadow, the way product pages and social posts present app screens. Adjust the look and download a PNG.

Everything happens in your browser. Your files are never uploaded.

Runs in your browser: nothing you enter is sent anywhere.

How to use it

  1. Open a screenshot.
  2. Choose a Gradient and set the Padding and Corner radius.
  3. Keep the Shadow on to lift the screenshot off the background.
  4. Download the PNG.

How it works

The gradient runs diagonally across the whole image. The screenshot is clipped to a rounded rectangle of the chosen radius (a percentage of its shorter side, up to 10%) and drawn in the middle. The shadow is a soft black blur sized from the padding.

Worked example

A 1000 x 600 screenshot with 10% padding and 2% radius: padding 60 px, radius 12 px, canvas 1120 x 720.

Tips

  • Use more padding for social posts and less for documentation.
  • Dark gradients suit light interfaces and the other way round.

Frequently asked questions

How is the padding measured?

As a percentage of the screenshot's shorter side. A 1000 x 600 screenshot at 10% gets 60 px on every side, giving a 1120 x 720 image.

What is the maximum size?

Screenshots with a side longer than 3000 pixels are scaled down so the canvas stays manageable in the browser.

Does it work with transparent screenshots?

The shadow is cast by a dark rectangle behind the screenshot, so transparent areas would look dark. Use opaque screenshots, or switch the shadow off for transparent ones.

Is anything uploaded?

No. The image is composed on a canvas in your browser and downloaded from there.
