Quote image maker
Type a quote, add an author, pick a canvas size and a background, and download a PNG ready to post. The text is wrapped and sized automatically to fill the picture without overflowing.
Runs in your browser: nothing you enter is sent anywhere.
How to use it
- Type or paste the Quote, and optionally the Author.
- Choose the Canvas size and a Background.
- Select serif or sans-serif, and centred or left-aligned text.
- Download the PNG.
How it works
The margin is 10% of the shorter side. The text is split into lines word by word so that no line is wider than the space inside the margins, and a word that is longer than a line is broken by characters. The largest font size whose lines fit at a line height of 1.35 is used, and the whole block is centred vertically.
Worked example
With 10 px per character and a line width of 70 px, “aaa bbb ccc” is wrapped as “aaa bbb” and “ccc”. On a 1080 x 1080 canvas the margin is 108 px, leaving 864 px for each line.
Tips
- Short quotes get a large font; very long ones shrink, so consider trimming them for readability.
- Use the wide or link-preview size for blog and article cards.
Frequently asked questions
Which sizes are included?
Square 1080 x 1080, portrait 1080 x 1350, story 1080 x 1920, wide 1600 x 900 and link preview 1200 x 630. These are common conventions; platforms change their recommendations, so check the current guidance for the one you post to.
How is the text size chosen?
The tool tries the largest font first (10% of the shorter side) and reduces it in steps of 2 px until the wrapped text and the author line fit inside the margins, down to a minimum of 14 px.
Why do the letters look different on another device?
The fonts are your device's own serif or sans-serif fonts, because nothing is downloaded. The saved PNG uses whatever your browser used when you pressed download.
Is my text stored?
No. The picture is drawn on a canvas in your browser and never sent anywhere.
