How to use it

  1. Press Start. One tile lights up.
  2. Press it when it is your turn.
  3. Each round the same sequence plays again with one new tile at the end. Repeat the whole sequence.
  4. A wrong tile ends the run.

How it works

Level n is a sequence of n tiles. Each tile is lit for 500 ms with a 200 ms gap. The grid is locked while the sequence plays.

Worked example

If the tiles lit are top-left, centre, bottom-right in level 3, you must press those three in that order. Pressing centre first ends the run at 2 tiles repeated correctly.

Tips

  • Trace the path as a shape rather than remembering positions one by one.
  • Say positions silently: “corner, middle, corner”.

Frequently asked questions

How fast do the tiles light up?

Each tile is lit for half a second with a short gap before the next one. The speed does not change between levels.

Can the same tile come twice in a row?

Yes. The next tile is chosen at random from all nine.

What ends a run?

Pressing a tile that is not the one expected at that step. The page then shows how many tiles you repeated correctly.

Can I play with the keyboard?

Yes. Tab to a tile and press Enter or Space.
