House rules that help

Agree before you start that nobody has to answer a statement they would rather skip, and that the stories shared stay in the room. Keep it light.

Variations

Play with points on paper, use a small prize for the winner, or turn it into a conversation game by asking the people who put a finger down to tell the story.

Frequently asked questions

How do you play never have I ever?

Each player starts with five fingers up (or any agreed number of points). Someone reads a statement. Anyone who has done it puts a finger down or loses a point. The last player still holding fingers up wins, or you can play with no winner and just share stories.

Are the statements suitable for children?

The Family theme is written for mixed ages. The others are mild and have no drinking, no adult topics and no bad language, so they suit most groups. You still know your group best, so skip any line that does not fit.

Do the statements repeat?

Within one draw every statement is different. Each theme has 20 statements, so press Generate again for a new draw.

Can I add my own?

Not in this tool, but you can copy the list and add your lines to it in any notes app.
