Telling a joke well

Say the question, pause for a second and then give the answer. Do not explain the pun: if nobody laughs, laugh yourself and move on. Short riddles work best out loud, and a groan is a good result.

Where to use them

Classroom warm-ups, lunchbox notes, family dinners, birthday cards and the start of a presentation all work.

Frequently asked questions

Are the jokes original?

They were written for this tool as short puns and riddles. Puns are a common form, so a similar wordplay may exist elsewhere; we do not claim otherwise.

Are they suitable for children?

Yes. The jokes are clean, contain no insults or adult topics and mention no real people or brands.

Why do I get fewer jokes than I asked for?

The list is limited, and a joke is never repeated within one draw. Ask for fewer or choose Mixed, the largest set.

Is the list updated?

The jokes are built into the page. They do not come from the internet and nothing is sent to a server.
