Runs in your browser: nothing you enter is sent anywhere.

How to use it

  1. Enter the Start date and End date.
  2. Choose how many dates and a format. Long shows the weekday and month name in the page language.
  3. Tick Weekdays only to skip Saturdays and Sundays, and No repeated dates if each day may appear once.
  4. Press Generate again or Copy. Changing any setting draws a new list.

How it works

The tool counts days since 1970-01-01 for both ends, builds the list of eligible days, and picks from it. Leap years are handled by the calendar itself, so 29 February is included in leap years only.

Tips

  • For a random time of day as well, pair the date with a number from the random number generator.
  • Use ISO format for spreadsheets and databases, because it sorts correctly as text.

Frequently asked questions

Are the start and end dates included?

Yes. Both can be drawn. A range from 2024-01-01 to 2024-01-01 contains exactly one day.

Does the weekdays-only option account for holidays?

No. It only excludes Saturdays and Sundays. Public holidays are not removed, because they differ by country and year.

Is every day equally likely?

Yes. The tool lists every eligible day in the range and picks from that list with an unbiased random index, so leap days and month ends are not favored or skipped.

Do time zones affect the dates?

No. Dates are calendar days handled in UTC internally, so the day you see does not shift with your time zone or daylight saving time.
