Tarot card reader
Choose a one-card or three-card spread and press Draw. Each card has a short meaning, upright or reversed. A reading is a game and a prompt for reflection: it cannot predict anything.
Runs in your browser: nothing you enter is sent anywhere.
How to use it
- Think of a question, or just a mood.
- Choose One card or Past, present, future.
- Press Draw cards and read each short meaning.
Reading the cards
Upright meanings are the main idea of the card. Reversed meanings show the same theme blocked, delayed or turned inward. In a three-card spread, read the cards as a short story from left to right.
Remember
A reading is a game and a conversation starter. Take what is useful, ignore what is not, and make decisions on real information.
Frequently asked questions
Can tarot predict the future?
No. Tarot has no scientific basis and this tool is for entertainment and reflection. Use a card as a prompt to think about a question, not as a forecast or advice for decisions about health, money or law.
What deck is used?
The traditional 78-card structure: 22 Major Arcana and four suits of 14 cards (Wands, Cups, Swords, Pentacles). Card names are traditional. The short meanings were written for this tool and there is no card artwork.
How are the cards chosen?
From a fair shuffle using the browser's cryptographic random generator. In a three-card spread the three cards are always different. With reversed cards on, each card has an even chance of being reversed.
Why do Minor Arcana meanings look similar?
Each is built from the rank (for example Ace: a new beginning) and the area of the suit (for example Cups: feelings and relationships), so they stay short and consistent.
