Frequently asked questions

What are the rules?

Rock beats scissors, scissors beats paper, and paper beats rock. If both players choose the same move, the round is a draw.

Can the computer predict my moves?

No. It picks one of the three moves at random with equal probability and does not look at your history, so no strategy beats it in the long run.

Is there a best strategy?

Against a random opponent every strategy wins, loses and draws one third of the time in the long run. Against a human, people tend to avoid repeating the same move, which is something to exploit.

How do I play with the keyboard?

Press R for rock, P for paper and S for scissors. The shortcuts are ignored while you are typing in a text field.
