Merge PDF files

Add two or more PDFs, put them in the order you want and download one combined file. The documents are processed on your device and never uploaded.

Everything happens in your browser. Your files are never uploaded.

Runs in your browser: nothing you enter is sent anywhere.

How to use it

  1. Choose or drop two or more PDF files.
  2. Reorder them with the ↑ and ↓ buttons, or remove one with ×.
  3. Press Merge and download.

How it works

The tool opens each file in your browser with the pdf-lib library, copies all of its pages into a new document in list order and saves it as merged.pdf. Pages are copied as they are: nothing is re-rendered or compressed.

Tips

  • To use only some pages of a file, first cut them out with the split PDF tool.
  • Scanned documents from a phone camera can be turned into PDF with the JPG to PDF tool and then merged here.

Frequently asked questions

Is it safe to merge private documents here?

The files are read and combined by your browser; they are not sent to any server. That makes it suitable for contracts and personal papers.

Can I change the order of the files?

Yes. Use the up and down buttons next to each file; the merged PDF follows the list from top to bottom.

Why does it refuse my file?

Password-protected PDFs cannot be opened, and damaged files are rejected. Each file can be up to 100 MB.

Are bookmarks and form fields kept?

The tool copies pages. Bookmarks, the outline and interactive form fields of the originals are not carried over, only the page content.

Is there a page limit?

There is no fixed limit, but the whole result is built in memory, so very large documents can be slow on a phone.
