Rotate PDF
Choose a PDF, pick the angle and which pages to turn, and download the corrected file. Small previews show how the pages will look. The document is not uploaded.
Runs in your browser: nothing you enter is sent anywhere.
How to use it
- Choose or drop a PDF; its page previews appear.
- Pick the angle and either All pages or Selected pages with a range such as
1,3-5.
- Press Rotate and download. The new file is named
name-rotated.pdf.
How it works
Every PDF page has a rotation value in multiples of 90 degrees. The tool adds your angle to the current value of each chosen page and saves the document with pdf-lib. Nothing is re-rendered or compressed. The previews are drawn with pdf.js and are only a guide.
Example
A 6-page scan where pages 2 and 5 were scanned sideways: choose Selected pages, type 2,5 and rotate by 90° clockwise or counterclockwise, whichever makes them upright.
Tips
- To put pages in a different order as well, use the organize PDF tool.
- Previews are drawn for the first 60 pages; later pages are still rotated.
Frequently asked questions
How do I rotate only some pages?
Choose Selected pages and type the page numbers, for example 2,4-6. Pages you leave out keep their orientation. The small previews turn to show what will change.
Is the rotation permanent?
The tool sets the rotation value of each chosen page, which every PDF viewer respects. The page content is not redrawn, so text stays selectable and quality is unchanged.
What happens to a page that is already rotated?
The new turn is added to the existing one. A page shown sideways (90°) that you rotate by 270° ends up upright.
Is my document uploaded?
No. The PDF is read and changed by your browser using the pdf-lib library; nothing is sent to a server.
Why does it refuse my file?
Password-protected and damaged PDFs cannot be processed. Each file can be up to 100 MB.
