Reverse PDF Pages

Choose a PDF and download a copy with the pages in reverse order: the last page first, the first page last. You can keep the cover where it is.

Everything happens in your browser. Your files are never uploaded.

Runs in your browser: nothing you enter is sent anywhere.

How to use it

  1. Choose or drop a PDF.
  2. Tick Keep the first page in place if the first page is a cover that should stay first.
  3. Press Reverse and download. The file is named name-reversed.pdf.

How it works

The tool builds a new PDF with pdf-lib and copies the pages into it from last to first. Nothing is redrawn, so the pages are identical to the originals.

Example

A 4-page file becomes 4, 3, 2, 1. With the cover kept in place, a 4-page file becomes 1, 4, 3, 2.

Tips

  • Document-level items such as bookmarks are not carried over to the new file; the pages themselves are.
  • A single-page file is returned as it is.

Frequently asked questions

When do I need a reversed PDF?

Typical cases are a scan that came out of the feeder last page first, or printing a stack so that it comes out of the printer in reading order. Reverse the file and the pages are in the right order again.

Can I keep the cover first?

Yes. Tick Keep the first page in place. With 5 pages the result is 1, 5, 4, 3, 2.

Are page sizes and rotation kept?

Yes. The pages are copied as they are and only their order changes, so sizes, rotation, links on the page and the text stay the same.

Can I reverse only some pages?

Not in this tool, it always works on the whole document. To move pages around freely use the Organize PDF tool.

Why does it refuse my file?

Password-protected and damaged PDFs cannot be processed. Each file can be up to 100 MB.
