Remove Blank Pages from PDF
The tool draws every page small and marks the ones that are nearly all white. You see them, tick or untick, and only then remove them. Nothing is uploaded.

How to use it
- Choose or drop a PDF and wait while the pages are checked.
- Look at the grid. Pages that look blank are ticked. Change the sensitivity or tick and untick pages by hand.
- Press the remove button. The file is named
name-no-blanks.pdf.
How it works
Each page is drawn white-backed at 300 pixels wide. A pixel counts as ink when the average of its red, green and blue values is under 200 out of 255. The ink share of the page is compared with the sensitivity limit. Detection runs in your browser and the thumbnails are not stored anywhere.
Example
A 6-page scan where pages 2 and 4 are the empty backs of single-sided sheets shows pages 2 and 4 ticked. Removing them gives a 4-page file.
Tips
- Pages with only a header or page number are not blank. Normal sensitivity keeps them, but check anyway.
- Very large files take a while because every page has to be drawn.
Frequently asked questions
How does it decide a page is blank?
It draws the page about 300 pixels wide and counts the pixels darker than a mid-light gray. If the share of such pixels is under a small limit, the page counts as blank. The limits are rules of thumb: strict allows none, normal about 0.05 percent and loose about 0.5 percent of the pixels.
Why is my nearly empty page not detected?
A scan may carry noise or a shadow along the edge. Try Loose, or tick the page yourself on the grid.
Why was a page with a little text marked?
At small size thin text can be very few pixels. That is why nothing is removed until you confirm. Untick the page to keep it.
Does it change the remaining pages?
No. The kept pages are copied as they are, with their text. Bookmarks and form fields are not carried into the result.
Is my file uploaded?
No. Pages are drawn and checked in your browser. Password-protected files cannot be opened, and each file can be up to 100 MB.
